Managing your CONVERGE account
Privacy & what your institution sees
Who can see your profile, your interest signals, and your inbox.
Updated 5/14/2026
CONVERGE is a multi-tenant platform: each customer institution is isolated from every other. This page summarizes who can see what within your institution and what never leaves it.
Your profile
- Visible to: you, Research Development staff, and leadership analytics at your institution. Converge administrators have access for support purposes.
- Not visible to: other faculty (in detail), other customers, the public.
Your matches and interest signals
- Your individual matches are visible only to you and to RD staff.
- Signaled interest is visible to RD staff and contributes to leadership analytics in aggregate.
- Other faculty cannot see your match list or your signals.
Your inbox
- Messages and help threads are visible to you and to the staff member assigned to the conversation.
- Attachments live with the thread and inherit its visibility.
Cross-customer isolation
Data, matches, profiles, inbox content, and analytics never cross institutional boundaries. A user at one customer cannot see anything belonging to another customer.
Aggregate analytics
Leadership dashboards in Drive show counts and distributions, not individual identities. Where a person is named (for example, an RD staff member responding to a help request), the data is internal to your institution.
What Converge administrators can see
Converge platform administrators can access customer data for configuration and support, and their access is logged. They do not share customer data across customers.
