Leadership insights
How insights surface concentrations, gaps, and noteworthy shifts.
Updated 5/14/2026
Leadership insights surface the things you'd want a colleague to flag for you — where the funding is concentrated, where the gaps are, and which units have changed direction recently.
What insights look like
- Funding-area concentrations across the institution and by unit.
- Notable shifts in volume, week over week or month over month.
- Sponsors driving the most pipeline activity.
- Departments with no recent engagement.
How they're generated
Insights are computed from the same engagement and disposition data that feeds the dashboard, but framed as plain-language observations rather than charts. They refresh on the same nightly cadence as the underlying data.
Use insights as conversation starters
Each insight is a hypothesis, not a verdict. They're most useful as prompts for a one-on-one with a college dean or RD lead.
Filtering scope
The insights view inherits the unit scope you set on the rest of Drive. Scope to a college and the insights re-compute against just that college's faculty and pipeline.
