Getting Started

What is CONVERGE?

A quick orientation to the four modules and how they work together.

Updated 5/14/2026

CONVERGE is a research intelligence platform that connects funding opportunities with researcher expertise, surfaces collaborators, and helps research-development teams move opportunities forward into funded proposals.

Everything in CONVERGE works against one shared data layer — the same opportunities, the same faculty profiles, the same matches. What changes from module to module is the lens: faculty see their own matches; staff see the queue across the institution; leadership sees the rolled-up pipeline.

The four modules

Each module is built around a distinct role. You only see the modules your account has been granted access to.

Fairway — for faculty and investigators

Your personal view of opportunities matched to your expertise. See new matches, track upcoming deadlines, signal interest, share with a colleague, and request help from your research-development team.

Signal — for research-development staff

The work surface for RD teams. Triage incoming matches, claim opportunities, respond to faculty help requests, coordinate outreach, and track every opportunity through the pipeline.

Drive — for leadership

Aggregate analytics for deans, VPRs, and directors. Engagement trends, funding-area concentrations, conversion through the pipeline, and unit-level insights — never individual browsing histories.

Clubhouse — for institution administrators

The configuration surface. Manage users and roles, run data refreshes, configure modules, and handle the admin inbox.

Your sidebar and module switcher only list the modules your account has access to. The rest are hidden, not greyed out.

One pipeline, four roles

How data flows in

Funding opportunities arrive from federal agencies, foundations, and internal programs on a nightly refresh. Faculty profiles are built from publications, prior grants, ORCID, and uploaded CVs.

How matches are produced

The matching engine scores every opportunity against every researcher whenever the underlying data changes. Each module then presents those matches in the form most useful to its audience.

How the loop closes

As faculty signal interest, RD claims items, and proposals are submitted and funded, the dispositions you record feed back into Drive's analytics — so leadership sees actual outcomes, not just activity.
